Obituary for Warren Jones Mr. Jr.

Warren Jones, Jr. born April 28, 1941, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Warren Jones and Isabelle E. Wilcox, departed this earthly life and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 13, 2013.Warren affectionately known as T-Bone, attended the Wilkinsburg Public School District. He left high school to work for the family owned business, Grogan Brothers Moving and Storage Company. After many years working for Grogan Brothers, he was able to purchase his own truck and became an owner operator for Atlas Van Lines. Throughout his career as a truck driver, he worked for various moving companies: Bekin Van Lines, United Van Lines, and Northamerican Van Lines. After 50 successful years as an owner operator, he retired in 2008 due to a work related injury. Throughout his life, Warren maintained a strong work ethic in the home and the workplace, setting a shining example for others to follow.Warren married his high school sweetheart Gloria Clark on July 8, 1961 and had four beautiful children. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed debating any subject matter with anyone who would dare to engage. His favorite pastime was talking on his CB radio. If you lived in the vicinity of 1647 Mill Street, you knew when he was in town. Immediately, your telephone conversations and TV shows were interrupted by “Breaker Breaker, its Coool Breeze, Coool Breeze, 10-4 Good Buddy.”He leaves to cherish fond memories of his wife Gloria Jones; 4 children, Warren Jones (Wendy), Mark Jones, Carol Jones (Jose), Jacqueline Jones-Wilmer (Nate); two brothers, Donald Jones (Delores), Michael Jones; one sister, Antionette Jones; nine grandchildren, Krista, Andre, Chantel, Warren, Chelsea, Natalee, Chamira, Wendy, and Devon; four great grandchildren, Warren, Zenaizj, Zion, and A’nyis; God daughter, Kristi Price; God son, Karl Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
