Obituary for Walter Tookes Sr.

Born March 26, to Custard and Rose Williams Tookes. Walter was an employee of Crucible Steel for 35 years and enjoyed carpentry in his spare time. Famous in the valley for his bbq ribs and sauce, and a devoted member, trustee, usher and custodian of Church of the Living God. Walter's greatest joy in life was his wife of 67 years Frances Holton Tookes.He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife , sons Wade (Sheri) and Walter Jr. (Tina) and his five daughters Shirley (James) Parson, Judy Cuspard, Debra (Conroy) Davis, Diane (Samuel ) Bullock and Patricia Dionne Tookes; 19 grandchildren, 27 greats, and 6 great-greats.along with 4 brother and sister in laws.
