Obituary for Regina Jones

Regina Elizabeth Callaway-Jones had a God given ability to touch every person around her with her welcoming presence, unconditional love, and genuine spirit. Having her in your presence was a blessing because her beautiful smile lit the room and always reassured you that everything would be okay.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania On January 14th, 1972 the second child to Gwenn and William Brown and the late Louis Callaway.

Regina Elizabeth Callaway-Jones was a devoted student receiving her Bachelor’s Degree from Carlow College and then furthering her education receiving a Master’s of Science degree from Robert Morris University. Regina worked for University of Pittsburgh Medical as Director of Training and Technical Assistance for the partnerships for family support programs for 10.5 years.

Great minds are willing to help others and pass on the knowledge they have attained so those around them will too have the gift of learning. Lending a helping hand and educating those around her was something she was committed to her whole life. Regina loved couponing, online shopping, line dancing, traveling, spending time with her family, and listening to Jill Scott. Her favorite movies are The Flash and The Color Purple

She’s reunited with her brother Michael Edward Cordice-Brown. She is survived by her siblings Charmaine Callaway, Roberta Collins, Billie Brown, Louis whittle, Mark Whittle, Louis Callaway Jr., Grace Callaway, Lucille Callaway, William, Warren,and Shawn Nickles, and her dearest friend, Dannai Wilson.

She leaves a proud legacy of two sons Jermaine M. Simpson, Michael J. Jones and his wife Jocelyn D. Jones and two grandsons Jayden L. Jones and Michael J. Jones Jr., a granddaughter My’elle S. Jones and another expected grandchild and a host of nephews, nieces, friends, students, and other associates.

For those who knew her she will remain an inspiration, a source of love and most of all a profound teacher of life.
