The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Raymond Duckett can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: First I would like to extend my condolences to Queenie and children, and to share my experience with Raymond while serving in New Delhi.Raymond’s honorable service and duties performed at the Presidential Party in Kuala Lampur and at New Delhi are a lasting tribute to him, i.e., the West Roads Building incident and the USIS riot. His proud effortless performance with the detachment’s three-mile run past the USSR embassy helped the Delhi detachment gain first place in Company “B” and a player in the “Cold War”. Raymond was a true Ambassador in Blue. His dedication towards the Tera Ghar and People-to-People programs was in keeping with the tradition of the United States Marine Corp.Raymond, I know (not woofing “woof, woof”) there is a special place for you at the Pearly Gates as you report … “Another Marine reporting sir, Situation well in hand.”Semper Fi, Raymond.Mike Kwasnick Continue reading

Condolence: Ray was my roommate when we together as Marine Embassy Guards in New Delhi. I had over 100 LP records, mostly Motown Sounds, we use to play on my record player. He was the only other Marine to have the key to my record cabinet. I would walk into the Marine House to hear Motown sounds coming from our room. Ray was one of the best friends I've ever had.
Rest in peace my FRIEND. See you someday!!! Continue reading
