Obituary for Logan Robert "Bobby" Mungo Jr.

Logan Robert Mungo, Jr. was affectionately known as "Bobby" or "Big Bob". He left this temporal life for life eternal suddenly on April 22, 2013 in Atlanta, Georgia. Bobby was born May 11, 1962, in Jersey City, New Jersey, to the late Logan Mungo, Sr. and Marlene Mungo.Bobby accepted Jesus Christ at a very early age. He was a member of Berean Christian Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia, under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Kerwin B. Lee.Bobby attended Westinghouse High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He later worked for PennDOT and The Pittsburgh School Board.  He also worked as a security guard for various entertainers in Atlanta, Georgia. He had recently started his own power washing and lawn service. Bobby thought that he had made the big-time when he appeared in a video with the comedian/actor J. Anthony Brown of the Tom Joyner Show. He even became a TV star when he was shown at the beauty pageant held by Cynthia Bailey of “The Atlanta House Wives”. Look for the reruns.Bobby loved to cook and was very good at it. He even won a prize for his famous hot sausage sandwiches at Berean Christian Church. He was very proud of that accomplishment.Bobby was a lover of people, his family, friends, and his church. He just loved Pastor Lee. Bobby was known for his smile. Bobby could make anyone smile or laugh even on their worst day. Bobby was famous for his frequent phone calls to his family and friends. You could always count on those phone calls.Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Logan Mungo, Sr. and Marlene Mungo, and his great-niece, Tyler Lewis of Pittsburgh, PA. Bobby leaves to cherish his loving memories, his fiancée, Mary Matthews; one son: Logan Mungo, III of Orlando, FL, and one daughter Sydney Mungo of Atlanta, GA; sisters: Lorraine Mungo of Pittsburgh, PA, Tracy Mungo of Lithonia, GA, and Dana Mungo of Snellville, GA; brothers: Kevin Mungo, Sr. of Snellville, GA and Dennis Patterson of Pittsburgh, PA; special children: Christopher (Alycia) Redman, Sr. of Orlando, FL, and Charmaine (Jacob) Johnson of Orlando, FL; six special grandchildren: Christopher, Jr., Mykah & Derek D'Antonio Redman, Jaimond, Jurelz, & Jenasis Johnson; god-brother, Benjamin Mongo Robinson of Snellville, GA; god-sister, Brenda Johnson of West Virginia; special brothers: Shawn Drummond and Reggie Smith of Pittsburgh, PA; one very special brother-in-law and friend, Phillip Williams of Lithonia, GA; nieces: LaShawn Lewis of Pittsburgh, PA, Tiffani Jackson of Lithonia, GA, Logan B.
