Obituary for Frank W Burke

Frank Washington “Frankie” Burke, Sr. was born on February 2, 1950 to the late George Washington and Irene Kendall Burke in New Kensington, PA.Frank was a graduate of the New Kensington School System. He served in the United States Air Force and received an honorable discharge.He was baptized at an early age at the AME Church of God in New Kensington. He was a member of Shiloh Community Missionary Baptist Church attending faithfully until his health began to fail.Frank was a former employee of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a truck Driver.He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Wendell Burke, a sister, Loretta Burke-Smith who along with his parents are awaiting his arrival at the Jordan River Shore. Frank quietly slipped away on Wednesday June 11, 2014 at home surrounded by his family.Frank leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Maurene Felecia Hutcherson Burke; children, Eric Burke of California, Christopher Burke of Oil City, Dwayne (Footie) Burke of Washington, PA, Ian Burke of Atlanta, GA, Antwone and Karen Burke of Syracuse, N.Y., Shawn Shannon of New Kensington, Frank Burke Jr., of Vanvergrift, and Tameka Hutcherson and Troy Akins; brothers, Willard Burke of Fort Worth,TX, William and Thomas Burke of New Kensington; sisters and brother in law, Kathleen Burke and Buddy Thomas, Henrietta Burke Hyde; 14 nieces and nephews; father and mother in law, Hubert and LaRue Hutcherson; brothers and sisters in law Cheryl and Matt Copcutt, Yvette and Ralph Johnson, Venena Hutcherson and Alicia Bisaha and Reverend Hubert D. Hutcherson, and a host of other relatives and friends
