Obituary for Edythe Goodman Mrs.

Edythe Denise Goodman was born on March 18, 1959. She was called home suddenly on Tuesday, March 5, 2013. Edythe affectionately known as “Bunny” was born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1959. Edythe is a graduate of Peabody High School and went on to further a military career in the U.S. Army where she met her late husband Charles Goodman, Sr. and was happily married to him in North Carolina in 1979. Edythe loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Edythe became a born again Christian in 1969 where she joined Morningside COGIC along with her mother and family. Edythe enjoyed singing for the Lord and had a beautiful voice. She sang in the choir at Morningside COGIC and every state congregation held at Miller Street COGIC in the Hill District. Edythe touched so many people’s hearts with her beautiful smile. Edythe was the beloved mother of three children: Brendalyn, Jenia, and Charles Goodman, Jr.She also leaves behind a beautiful praying mother Esther Smith, also 7 grandchildren: Brian, Brendon, Randi, Tymere, Damarius, Ramonte, Alex and a granddaughter soon to be born into this world. She is also survived by 5 siblings: Elson Smith, Jr., Elaine Glass, Earlene Smith, Elisa Smith and Everett Smith. One brother-in-law Michael Glass and also 1 sister-in-law April Smith, all of Pittsburgh, PA. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
