Shannon passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021, peacefully at home, after a long battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by her loving children. Shannon was born on December 2,1968 to William (Ladd) Haden and Sharon (Sherry) Haden. Shannon graduated from Gladstone High School in 1986 and continued her education to pursue nursing at the Western School of Health and Business Careers. She then completed her education at Connelly Trade School where she earned her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse! Throughout her nursing career, she worked at various hospitals and nursing homes doing what she loved …caring for her patients.
Shannon bore three children that remained devoted to her throughout her illness. From her union with Donald Pannell, she had; Donald (Chief) Haden and Shamarra (Shay) Haden. From her union with (Jovonna Manns Sr.), she had Shavonne (Bon Bon) Manns. She is the proud Mee-maw of four grandchildren. Twin boys Davelle (Fatty) and Darrelle (Mitter), and two granddaughters; Shariah and Journee. She beamed when she was in the presence of her grandbabies. They truly were her pride and joy!
Shannan accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior early in life. She found great comfort in that as she battled cancer. She was a warrior and fought cancer for years. Her children never left her side! She spent one of her last days laying in her mom’s lap, a sight that was almost too beautiful to witness! She was loved and she knew that!
Shannon was blessed to have two beautiful lifelong friends; Leslie Thompson and Alishia Watkins, and a special sweet relationship with Harry Marshall Jr. (Mr. Beau).
Shannon is survived by her three children: Donald James Haden, Shamarra Denise Haden, and Shavonne Marie Manns. Four grandchildren; Darrelle and Davelle Haden, Shariah Richardson and Journee Haden. Her loving mother Sharon Haden. Four brothers; William (Newt) Haden, Jamar (Mel) Haden, Reymere Jones, and Jarvis Jenkins. Three Aunties (Aunt Angie) and (Aunt Theresa) and Great Aunt Rena Randolph (Aunt Sissie). Uncles Herb Griffin and Claude Beasley. Also, one Sister/Cousin Tiffany (Grimes) Branson. She also leaves to cherish her memory, a host of many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Too many to list, but none are forgotten!
Shannon was preceded in death by her father: William (Ladd) Haden, her grandmothers; Thelma (Duchess) Haden and Dorothy (Bootsie) Vickers, grandfathers; William (Bouey) Haden and William (Patch Neck Red) Grimes; Aunties Toni and Tot Haden, Uncles Billy and Jimmy Grimes, and best friend Regina Washington. We are certain she had a wonderful welcome home from her family!
Shannon’s life was a blessing, her memory a treasure; she is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
