Rose Gloria (Craig) Cottrell, of Monroeville, PA (formerly of East Liberty), peacefully and surrounded by family went home to be with the Lord, on September 18, 2020, after 96 wonderful years of living. Rose was a retiree of the Veterans Hospital. She was an avid reader, world traveler and technology expert. Most of all, she held a strong faith in Christ and was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend.
She leaves to treasure her memory; two sons, Gary C. and William G., Jr. (Maudleen) of Pittsburgh, PA, four daughters, Teresa E. of Pittsburgh, Karen Cottrell Smith (Marcellus) of Chicago, IL, Rozanne and Barbara R. of Pittsburgh. She will be lovingly missed by her precious sister Lenore Walker, dear sister-in-law Mary Cottrell Parchman and wonderful friend Dolores Morton. She was predeceased by her husband, William G. Cottrell, Sr., parents, Annie and Augustus Craig and Hattie McCray, one brother, Robert Johnson and three sisters, Betty Avent, Zelda Walker and Jacqueline Watts.

Rose’s legacy continues with 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. In addition, Rose is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
