Obituary for Phillip Gregory White
Phillip Gregory White was born on April 15, 1960 in the Lincoln-Larimar section of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Arlene H. Perkins and the late Orlando Bethel. Phillip passed on December 6, 2021.
Phillip was raised by his great-grandparents Hazel and Harry Perkins, grandparents Helen and Addison White, and Audrey Taylor. Phillip attended Lincoln Elementary School where he played football for the Lincoln Larimar Cubs in 1972. Phillip also attended Westinghouse High School and Connelley Technical Institute, studying upholstery and landscaping. Phillip was good with his hands.
Phillip eventually moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he married the late Kimberly Marie Evins White. While in Atlanta, he worked for Oglethorpe University and The Carter Center.
Phillip leaves to cherish his memory, children – Kevin Gee, Lashawn Arlene Davis, Phillip Anthony Davis, Mickita Marthina White, and stepson Todd Davis; sister – Robin R. Taylor; brother – Kevin Howard Smith; and other siblings; grandson – Kaiden I’Mir White-Johnson; and a host of relatives and friends, and significant other Rhonda Berkley.
