Obituary for Lenore Elizabeth Watkins
On November 26th, 2022, Lenore Watkins of Pittsburgh died at the age of 77. Lenore was born to Leon and Helen in 1945. She graduated from Fifth Avenue High School. Lenore married young and had two children with her then husband Jesse Watkins. While raising her family she worked various jobs throughout the years at companies like Fesco Plastics Co. and The University of Pittsburgh. Later she would go back to school to learn phlebotomy.
Lenore was a very caring and kind person and stayed strong in her faith (Jehovah's Witness) for more than 20 years. She was brave always standing up for herself and family. Protective of her kids and grandkids, proud of their achievements she was one of the loudest parent cheering at their school events. Always willing to give a listening ear to anyone in need, even strangers. Preceded by parents, Helen and Leon; siblings, Richard, Leon, Evelyn, Shirley, Judy, and Paul; granddaughter, Cheyanne. She is survived by her children, Deneen and Cavell; grandchildren Jesse, Jaisa, and Shaqueena; sister, Sharon and many nieces and nephews. Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend will be greatly missed.
