Obituary for Kirk Sidney

Kirk Ricardo Sidney was born on September 17, 1960 to the late Alnora Gloria Sidney & Arthur Greene Sidney. He was the youngest of their four children and known to us all as Kirk, Uncle Kirk, or Dr. D.S.F. (Self-proclaimed). He transitioned from this life around August 16, 2021.
Kirk was raised in the Garfield community and attended both Rogers School and Peabody High school of which he graduated. He was very good with working or fixing things. He was known as a “Jack of all trades, but a master of none.” He had a great sense of humor and always looked at things in a different way compared to most people. He loved to ride on his 15-speed bike and was a great roller skater. Kirk always had a side hustle to bring in some money and for a while, he was an active member of the local Painter's Union #6.
Preceding him in death was his daughter, Susan Francis Sidney, his parents Alnora & Arthur Sidney, and his nephew Melvin S. Gay.
Kirk leaves to cherish his memories five grandchildren, Raymont, Raymere, Unique, De’on, Zih’ere, two sisters, Sandra-Jo Sidney and Kim Sidney-Long, one brother Stewart Sidney, a nephew Michael Gay Sr. (Cheryl), a niece Arnita Long, other close family members and friends.
