Isabelle Morrah Allen entered into her eternal home after 98 years on earth. She is no longer a stranger in this strange land now at home with her heavenly Father.
Isabelle, the oldest of three children was born to Elliott and Willie Mae Morrah on August 23, 1924 in Anderson South Carolina.
Isabelle attended Fifth Avenue High School and graduated in 1942.
Isabelle was united into wedlock with James Henry Allen, September 1946 in a civil ceremony at City Hall downtown, Pittsburgh. Their union was blessed with four children, James H. Jr., (deceased), Darlene Mayers Elliott (deceased), Don Cornell. Their marriage lasted over 60 years.
Isabelle was a devoted and faithful volunteer at Lemington Nursing Home at Macedonia Baptist Church in the kitchen and over 60 years at service to the Salvation Army Home League
Isabelle has received many awards and citations from the different organizations such as Woman of the Year, by the Western PA Division 2016 of Salvation Army.

Isabelle has worked in the kitchen for many years at Salvation Army at times feeding over a 100 people while she was in her 90’s. Not only was she blessed by God, she continued to be a blessing to all she came in contact with.

Surviving to mourn her death as deeply as they loved her in life are two of her four children Darlene Allen Mayers and Don Cornell Allen. Four grandchildren Jennifer Dean, Rashida Mayers, Marilyn Allen, and Charlie Allen and a host of other family and friends.
