Harry graduated from Perry High School and soon after joined the United States Navy. After serving in the Navy, he became a certified sous chef, he joined his brother Melvin and stayed in San Diego, California where he lived for over 30 years working as a sous chef. He then relocated back home to Pittsburgh, PA in 2008 where he worked in various restaurants and facilities as a cook and sous chef.
Harry led a quiet and purposeful life with a dry weird sense of humor. He worked hard at his craft and took much pride and derived immense joy in his ability to feed others well and their enjoyment of his skills. He had a vivid memory that worked to his credit and detriment. Harry could be stubborn and yet he had such a very sensitive side. He will be missed.
