Obituary for Gracie A. Martin
Mrs. Grace Adelaide Penn-Martin, daughter of the late Gilbert and Malinda Burgess Penn was born July 29, 1922 in Henry County, Virginia. She attended the public schools in Henry County, Virginia. At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined Meadow Christian Church where she was a dedicated member until she move to Pittsburgh, Pa in 1954. She joined Sixth Mt. Zion Baptist Church in 1960. At Sixth Mt. Zion Baptist, she served faithfully as Gospel Chorus, Mass Choir, the Nurses Unite and the Stewardship Ministry.
She was united in holy matrimony to Robert Lee Martin in October 15, of 1949. Robert Lee Martin preceded her in death on Feb 17, 1983
She quietly departed this life Thursday, January 17, 2019 in Pittsburgh, Pa. She was preceded in death by her brother, James ???Jamie??? Penn.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She worked for Thomas and Audrey Hillman-Hilliard family for 26 years.
The viewing will be held at 4-6p.m. Monday, January 21 at Coston Funeral Home, 427 Lincoln Avenue, East Liberty, PA

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, 1425 Greensboro Road, Martinsville, Virginia. Family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Antioch Christian Church Cemetery, 555 Spencer Preston Road, Martinsville.
