Obituary for George Isaac Crystian

George Isaac Crystian, 69, of Cranberry Township passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. George was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on March 10, 1950. He was affectionately known as Mainey by his siblings and childhood friends.

He graduated from Fifth Avenue High School in June of 1968. George went on to join the United States Air Force in 1969 and honorably served for 10 years. George began a career with the United States Postal Service in 1980 where he worked as a Mail Handler until his retirement in December of 2017 and was recognized for 46 years of loyal service to the United States Government.

George was predeceased by his Father R.T. Crystian Sr., Mother Willie Ethel Crystian (Johnson), and his older sister Jan Smith (Ronald). He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Gladys (Youngblood) Crystian; his 2 sons, Brandon (Betty) of Cranberry Township, PA and Simmee (Memone) of Red Bank, NJ; his siblings Carolyn Anderson (Ronald), R.T. Crystian Jr., Patricia Crystian, Janetta Ware, Ruth Trevathan(Danny), Ethel Nunley (Keith), Niles Crystian; his 6 adored grandchildren, Demetrius, Nijah, Miles, Taylor, Xavier, and Matthew plus a host of other family members and friends. George was deeply loved and will truly be missed.

A viewing will be held on Monday, February 3rd from 11:00 am-1:00 pm.
Funeral Services will be held immediately after at 1:00pm at Coston Funeral Home,

427 Lincoln Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA.
A repast meal for family and friends will take place directly following the services through 4:30 pm at The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh - Homewood, 7101 Hamilton Ave, 2nd floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15208. A private burial will be conducted at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA.
