Terry Obituary
Edward was born on March 13, 1938 to the late Lester and Alma Terry in Pittsburgh, PA. Ed was raised in the Hill District (Cherokee St.) and Homewood (Kedron St.). He was educated in the Pittsburgh Public School system, graduating from Schenley High School in 1957. He loved playing basketball as a youth. After graduation, Ed went to the Marine Corp Boot Camp at Camp LeJeune. he served and was honorably discharged after 6 years active & 6 years as a reservist. After leaving the service He worked for Hertz Rental Car at the Pittsburgh International Airport and retired after 40 years of service. He was President of the Local 926 Teamster Union. It was here that he successfully led his fellow teamsters on strike for better wages and benefits.

Ed met his future wife, Betty Alisha Montgomery when they both lived on Kedron St. in Homewood. On July 30, 1962, they united in holy matrimony, and in 1977 had a daughter, Tiffany. Ed & Betty were married for over 50 years until her passing in 2017. Ed stayed active over the years and loved to travel with his wife, hang out with his work buddies, attend family functions, tend to his car and tinkering with handyman projects.

He was preceded in death by parents, Lester and Alma, and siblings, Daisy, Lester, Arthur, Frances, McArthur, Barry and wife Betty.

He is survived by Sandra(Rexton), Jeanette Alma, and daughter Tiffany (Moses), his siblings Daisy, Alma, Lester, Arthur, Frances, McArthur, Jeanette, Edward, Barry, Sandra and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
