Obituary for Deborah Lynn Mitchell
Debbie, a gentle and compassionate soul, bid farewell to this world on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Born in 1967, she hailed from the city of Pittsburgh, PA. She was a dedicated bank teller by profession, spreading kindness to all those who crossed her path.
Away from the workplace, Debbie found her true joy in the embrace of her loving family. As a mother, she poured boundless love into raising her son, Tyelre. Their bond was one of unwavering support and understanding, a testament to the deep love they shared.
Adding immeasurable delight to her life was her 2-year old granddaughter, Arí Lynn. “DD,” as she was lovingly called, reveled in every moment spent with her, savoring the joy and wonder of being a doting grandmother. The love between DD and Ari knew no bounds, and their memories will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who witnessed their beautiful connection.
Debbie is precededed in death by her father, John T. Mitchell Sr. and brothers John T. Mitchell Jr. and Gary Mitchell. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her son, Tyelre Davis (Sequoyah); granddaughter, Arí Davis; mother, Dorothy Mitchell; siblings Albert Mitchell (Patricia), Michael Mitchell (Sunshray), Peter Mitchell (Benita), Mary Reed (Charles), Joseph Mitchell (Beth), Paul Mitchell, Jason Mitchell (Rosa); and significant other, Michael Potter.
Despite facing a challenging diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), Debbie remained resilient and fought bravely against the illness that plagued her. Her legacy of kindness, warmth and selflessness will continue to inspire all those who were touched by her gentle spirit.
