Carla Mae Brown, age 59, passed peacefully on January 18th, 2024, with her older brother, Burton Brown Jr, by her side. She was born on June 17th, 1964, in Pittsburgh, P.A to the late Carmella and Burton Brown Sr. She graduated from Peabody High School in 1982. After which, she served as a certified tax examiner at the historic Mellon National Bank. She then earned her associate degree from Duff’s Business Institute. In addition, she selflessly acted as a devoted caretaker to her parents and her older sister for over a decade. Carla will always be remembered for her elegance, beauty, and for her decency. She cherished celebrating birthdays, graduations, and holidays surrounded by family and friends. Carla was a fiercely independent and self-confident woman and has inspired others to live just as authentically. She is preceded in death by siblings: Allen Brown, Deneece Brown, and Reginald Brown. And parents, Carmella and Burton Brown Sr. Carla is survived by a multitude of loved ones including brothers, Darrel and Burton Brown Jr. Services will be held at Coston Funeral Home, Pittsburgh PA, by Paster Marie Walker on Friday, January 26th, 2024.
